Sanya hotel prices up 10%

Sanya's Price Control Department released government guidelines for accommodation prices during China's National Day holidays on August 27.

The average price for the first batch of 126 hotels in Sanya, Hainan Island, China's southernmost province, is 1,541 yuan ($241) for one night during the National Day holiday period. This figure is up 10% compared to the same period last year.

Out of the 126 hotels listed, 51.4% were priced at less than 1,000 yuan per night, while villa rooms priced at more than 10,000 yuan per night accounted for 0.3% of accommodation listed.
